Contruent Deepens Global Bench with Senior APAC Leadership Appointment

Industry veteran tapped to drive growth amid APAC infrastructure boom

NAPERVILLE, IL: Contruent, the SaaS company that develops industry-leading lifecycle cost management solutions which enable Owners and EPCs to build mega-construction projects with greater precision and speed, today announced an important addition to its global leadership team. Rob Malkin, a veteran industry leader, has been appointed as General Manager and Vice President of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

“Rob Malkin joining as our APAC GM is a pivotal move as we double down on the incredible infrastructure growth happening across Australia and the broader region,” said Ryan Kubacki, CEO of Contruent. “His leadership and deep market expertise position us to not just participate in that growth—but to lead it with the precision and speed our customers expect. With Rob at the helm in APAC, we’re accelerating our momentum and bringing our global project expertise to this high-growth region.”

Malkin brings over 25 years of experience leading technology businesses across the Asia Pacific region. His understanding of this key market, combined with his ability to drive results, will be important in growing Contruent’s impact. Most recently, Rob served as Senior Regional Director at Bentley Systems, where he demonstrated strong leadership. Prior to Bentley, he was Vice President at Mural, a visual collaboration company, where he secured significant contracts with global clients.

His career also includes a successful period at Autodesk, where he played a key role in global market development for new technologies, including in North America. Relocating to Sydney in 2009, Malkin led multi-year enterprise deals across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Japan, and Korea, with a focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors – a core area of Contruent’s focus.

“I’m thrilled to join Contruent at such an exciting time and to lead our growth across the APAC region,” said Malkin. “There’s tremendous opportunity here, and I’m eager to build strong, lasting relationships that support our customers and drive real impact. With over 30 years of experience supporting complex projects, Contruent brings a unique expertise this region needs—and I look forward to working with our talented global team to deliver exceptional value and forge meaningful partnerships across APAC.”

This strategic leadership appointment follows a year of continued investment in Contruent Enterprise, further enhancing its capabilities as a comprehensive and user-friendly lifecycle cost management solution. Recent improvements include an enhanced User Experience (UX), expanded dashboards, improved ways to interact with project data through its Magic Grid, and the acquisition of ProcureWare, a cloud-based procurement portal.
