NAPERVILLE, IL: ARES PRISM, the SaaS company that develops industry-leading project controls software solutions which enable owners and EPCs to build mega-construction projects with greater precision and speed, announced today the hiring of Mike Abramo as Chief Financial Officer.
Abramo has vast experience in scaling private equity backed companies and has held CFO posts at five different organizations (three in the portfolio of M33 Growth, the growth equity firm that acquired ARES PRISM in 2021). Abramo’s previous experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrator at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where he led strategic financial planning for some of the most critical transportation projects in the state.
First-hand expertise with mega-construction projects
“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to our growing team of top talent and industry experts,” said ARES PRISM CEO Ryan Kubacki. “As CFO and Chief Administrator for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, he oversaw exactly the kind of mega-scale engineering and construction projects for which our software is designed.
“At the MBTA,” Kubacki continued, “Mike managed a $3 billion budget and had responsibility for numerous large capital projects. But the legacy systems he and his team had to use to manage these vast projects were largely manual, error-prone and patched together from a variety of platforms. So, Mike has an intimate understanding of the challenges our customers face and the distinct value our solutions provide.”
Delivering the automated solutions his former colleagues need
“I’m thrilled to be joining Ryan and his team at ARES PRISM,” said Abramo. “I’m looking forward to helping my former colleagues who manage public sector mega-projects succeed with the automation, visibility and accuracy ARES PRISM project management software delivers.”
Abramo will oversee the human resources, IT, accounting and finance operations for ARES PRISM. He will work out of the company’s headquarter offices in Naperville, Illinois. Abramo holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
